How do you feel when reading the book? Why did you feel this way?

When I was reading this book, I felt confused. These people run the risk of being deported if they were to be caught on their way to America, they run the risk of being mugged, raped, or even killed. And yet they suffer through all of that just to come to a place where they will face all of the same threats, but may have the possibility to not get caught long enough to start a life, get a job, and support the family you left back at home. Most of the migrants who do come here however, forget about their families back home and runs away enjoying their own personal life. Now I'm not saying all people who migrant here are this shallow. When my mom got her US citizenship and came to America, she always made sure she was able to provide for her family members back in the Philippines. http://www.stockphotopro.com/photo-thumbs-2/stockphotopro_800458WRV_no_title.jpg
